In the 1990s, my mother ran a small block printing studio in Kolkata called Kalakriti. I grew up surrounded by color, textiles, and the quiet magic of things made by hand. Agnya began as a continuation of that story, and a way to bring its spirit to a new generation.

After spending the early years of my life immersed in India’s rich design world, I moved to the United States to broaden my perspective and explore the world beyond it. Living between cultures made something clear: the depth of India’s design archive is extraordinary, yet so often overlooked.

Agnya is my way of bridging the worlds I inhabit, blending traditional techniques with bold patterns that reflect a life lived between continents and cultures.
